What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Who is a good candidate for a PRP?
You're a good candidate for the PRP if you have an uneven skin tone, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, signs of aging, stretch mark, or androgenetic alopecia (hair loss)

When can I see the result?
PRP is a rejuvenation that naturally stimulates your body’s own collagen production, and it takes about a month for maximum collagen regeneration to occur. It is recommended to have 2-3 per year.

Is PRP safe?
PRP Facial Rejuvenation is one of the lowest-risk treatments because the process involves injecting a substance sourced from your own body. Mild injection site bruising, swelling, or redness can occur but usually resolves after 3-7 days following the procedure. Other risks include infection and pain at injection sites.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment involves the injection of high concentrations of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) directly into the dermis. The PDGF is a stimulator of collagen synthesis that, when applied, improves the appearance of flaccid, dehydrated, and aged skin. It is currently also used to treat androgenetic alopecia due to its ability to promote hair growth.

The procedure is simple and consists of 3 steps where a small portion of the patient's blood is drawn, followed by placing the blood in a centrifuge for a few minutes to separate fibrin and platelets from blood cells. Finally, the fibrin and platelets are injected into the area to be treated.
PRP work in Hair Restoration?
PRP can be used as a therapeutic option for hair loss including androgenetic alopecia and female pattern hair loss, either as a monotherapy or an adjuvant to laser therapy.
PRP is an exciting non-surgical therapeutic option for patients who require stimulation of hair growth for hair loss conditions.
Is PRP safe for hair loss?
PRP therapy involves injecting your own blood into your scalp, you are not at risk of getting a communicable disease.
Involves injections always carry a risk of side effects such as injury to blood vessels or nerves, infection, calcification at the injection points, and scar tissue.

When to Consider PRP for Hair Restoration?
If your hair is thinning or falling out, and it’s affecting your self-confidence, it’s time to consider the benefits of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair loss.
